Should I use Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Desktop i386) Beta 1?

I am unable to download the original version of Ubuntu 10.04 right now but I have one live CD containing Beta 1 version of the same. Should I use it to install ubuntu? (The existing hard-disk of my computer is about to crash, if fact one drive had become corrupted already and I need to quickly transfer all imp data to another machine. I also want to switch over to Linux from windows XP.) Is there any danger in using beta version of the above OS (like lack of security etc)?Thanks for suggestions.
