Are the police and soldiers the new middle class?

Everyone seems to think they are middle class, but the middle class doesn't really exist. There are the poor, the slightly less poor, very small middle class, and the elite. The police and the military would be the middle class in the elites wet dreams where they can sign their paychecks to keep the underlings in check. A pseudo house ***** status they would be granted
